The problem

After all of my trials with Apache, I finally got around to trying to publish
to the virtual webs I had just set up. However, I found a great number of problems.
My first problem was trying to remember the passwords. After getting that
sorted out, I found I was receiving an error message long the following lines:Server Error: Server is busy. Please try again later. Some searching with Deja News, I found that it was a directory permission problem. So I fixed that. Then I began to get the following message in /var/log/httpd-error.log:
I started playing around with the permissions of the directories and files. Eventually, I gave up and installed Apache from scratch. Here's how I did that:
After restarting Apache, everything ran great! I could publish whatever I wanted. |
